INITIAL MEETING

You may have a fair idea about what you want from your garden, you may have some specific problem areas which need addressing, or it may be a general question of “Please Help!”

Whatever your requirements, I can help with all of these and more…  Identifying issues/problems and providing creative, user-friendly solutions is what I do.

After your first contact with me and a quick discussion about the sort of input you need, we will arrange an initial meeting on site, free of charge*. The purpose of this meeting will be to:

• View, explore and photograph the site,
• Discuss with you, your family and/or other garden users how you wish to use your garden, your tastes and style preferences, likes, dislikes, colours etc,
• Take note of basic site information, for example rough measurements, orientation, soil samples and existing planting or materials to be retained.

Unless the site is very straightforward in terms of size and levels, I will normally recommend a professional site survey be carried out (essential for complex sites), which I can arrange for you if required.

Following this meeting I will prepare a client brief and quotation for your approval, before starting any design work.  Once these are agreed, we can move onto the next exciting stage:  DESIGN.

* For a site visit more than 25 miles from Shoreham, I respectively reserve the right to charge travel expenses for the initial meeting, to be agreed in advance.
