RENOVATED HOTEL, GATWICK
STUDENT GARDEN, OXFORD
The aim of this community garden project was to create a space where students could take some time away from their studies to rest and socialise. Through her thoughtful garden design, Naomi worked to design a garden that enticed students away from technology and out into the natural world. The garden design incorporated elements from the Chelsea Cherub HIV garden, ensuring the legacy of the garden was preserved.
Sitting amongst the planting and design features, the students can decompress and give their minds space to access creative flow. The garden design also provides communal areas that are aesthetically pleasing, yet functional spaces for students to gather, discuss, debate, and most importantly, laugh.
Naomi was excellent in her approach and presentation. She worked with us to understand what we needed and how best to achieve it, even within a limited budget. She was happy to allow freedom and flexibility enabling us to develop ideas with helpful input and suggestions. Work is about to start.
